How to see the Elevation Map of the 17th Great Wall of China Marathon 2018(Mar.18,2018)

who would run the full marathon at the 17th Great Wall of China
Marathon 2018.We think this reply would also help all the world
runners,too.

Hi,Bob,
Thank you very much for your greatest attention and efforts.
>I got two questions regarding the full marathon course elevation.
Is this possible there an extra >up down from our drawing because I
thought we would only need to visit the point C three times >however
it looks like we need to visit C 4 times from your drawing.
Point C is on the flat road,because we also add another 2K+2K on
F,so we pass the C four times.
>Secondly, which tower is the point C at? It looks like a sharp
descending from there to the >valley. Do you know how many stairs to
get from C to the bottom? thanks if you can let me know >the details
so that I can calculate my pace. thanks
C is the bottom,and B is Tower 10,there is no stairs from B to C.The
Olympic Construction is between B to C,and it is not difficult as
what you see on the course map directly.
The most difficult steep part of the course on the Great Wall for
the full,half and 10K runner is what you can see from the second
part of the video here. The reason the course map looks steep is
because from the highest point to B,there is just over 1K comparing
to the 42K distance.It would take about 15 minutes for the
well-trained runners from the highest point to B,the Tower 10.

The course for the full and half marathoners is easier than the
course we had in past two years.
Here is the time and the finisher percentage at the 16th Great Wall
of China Marathon 2017:
Full Marathon Male 8:41:20
Full Marathon Female 9:13:47
65%
Half Marathon Male 6:10:24
Half Marathon Female 6:35:10
90%
and we estimated that the average time for the full marathoners at
the 17th Great Wall of China Marathon 2018 is around 7 hours and 30
minutes and the average time for the half marathoners is around 5
hours.

For the full marathon,there
are 10,016 steps/stairs on the Great Wall.
For the half marathon,there
are 5,008 steps/stairs on the Great Wall.
For the 10K,there are 2,504
steps/stairs on the Great Wall.
For the 5K,please look at
the 10K elevation map,the 5K runners just turn back from 2.5K point
on the Great Wall.
The 5K runners are mostly
the child runners and the runners who have never run the marathon
and the runners who would like to try and taste the run on the Great
Wall very much.It would take more than 1 hour to finish the 5K.
All the runners start
together at 7:30AM. A is the START!
