Notice No.1 for all the World Runners
to the 17th Great Wall of China Marathon 2018(Feb.14,2018)
Good morning to you all
from China!
Chinese New Year 2018 or
called Chinese Spring Festival 2018 is coming.It starts from
February 15,the New Year's Eve till March 2nd,the Lantern
Festival.It would last for 16 days.
We just came back from USA and also working at the remot areas for
all our races,including the Roof of the World Marathon 2018,we would
not have holidays/rest now during the Chinese New Year Seasons.
In this notice,we especially would like to emphersize for the
runners who register via our very good cooperator ACTIVE.COM.

If you also registered any of the 8 Options,please let us know your
round tickets information any time before April 15,2018,so that we
would arrange our staff to pick you up at Beijing Capital
International Airport.

On the race day May 1st,2018,our limousines buses with all the
runners would depart Shenzhou(Beijing)International Hotel at 5:30AM
for the Great Wall.We would arrive at the square of the startline of
the 17th Great Wall of China Marathon 2018 at about 6:50AM,and then
the race would start at 7:30AM.
We have space for all our runners to keep your luggages,and we would
also have the rooms for all our world runners for shower after the
race.
We would like to say again that your US$250.00 registration fee
includes the transportation to the Great Wall,and after the races,we
also have our buses to take you back to
Shenzhou(Beijing)International Hotel.
Some of the runners might leave Beijing after the race,if you would
like to book the flight tickets or train tickets,we suggest you to
reserve your tickets after 9:30PM on May 1st if you run the full
marathon.So that you would not be in a hurry in the huge Beijing
city,this is our experience.The time limit for the full marathon is
10 hours.
We would release the new course map after Chinese New Year,some time
in March,because the Great Wall we use in northwest Beijing is at
the Beijing Winter Olympic Zone,and the rapid changes is happening
there now.
Here is the basic data about the Great Wall for your reference that
we had in 2016.We would have the much larger Great Wall area for all
our runners in 2018.

There new course would be a little bit easier than the course we use
in the past two years.However,it is best that if you aim to run the
over 15,000 stairs on the Great Wall during your training,that would
be best!This stairs is for the full marathoners.For the half
marathon runners,you need to train to run at least 7,500 stairs.
It seems that quite a lot runners would like to bring your
family/friends to come to cheer for you,and the registration fee for
them,spectators.each is USD125.00.You can do this any time from now
till April 15,2018 for your family members or friends.
