Answer the Questions from an Expat in China about the 18th Great Wall of China Marathon 2019(Feb.24,2019)
Mr.Vincent Priout has recently registered the 18th Great Wall of China Marathon 2019 via one of our best cooperators ACTIVE.COM,one of the excellent world marathon registration platforms.
Mr.Vincent Priout in Shanghai China registered not only for himself for the half marathon,he also registered a spectator coming together with him. He wrote to ask the following questions,which we think would be what most other runners care,so here is our reply for Mr.Vincent Priout and for all the world runners to the 18th Great wall of China Marathon 2019. 1.Where would be the meeting point and at what time? Unlike the past years,we would use 5-star Beijing Friendship Hotel as the meeting point. It is not far away from the Shenzhou(Beijing)International Hotel that we used,they all on the same street in Beijing.Zhongguancun Nandajie.The new one address is No.1 and the previous is No.35. And the runners can come to this hotel to get your race bags(including the race bibs) from 9AM till 6PM on April 30,2019,and we would have our staff working at the lobby directing all the runners,and our working group would be living in this hotel from April 28,2019. 2.I understand that a bus is arranged,but could I get there if I have a private car and driver? It is not just one bus,buses for all the runners and spectators would depart the Beijing Friendship Hotel at 5:30AM on May 1st,2019 for the Great Wall.And the 18th Great Wall of China Marathon 2019 on the Great Wall would start at 7:30AM. Yes,some runners working in China would like to drive their own cars over there,but we know that a few runners really missed to get to the STARTING POINT,and failed to run the race.If you make a mistake for the turning in one place,you would have to drive another 30 or 50KM more,and after the 6:30AM,there would be traffic jam on the express way.And very possible you would be stuck on the express way for about one or two hours. For the runners who register via ACTIVE.COM,you would immedately receive the Comformation Letter when you finish paying there.For the runners who use Paypal or Wechat or Alipay,you would receive the Comfirmation Letter in about one to 6 hours after your payment.And here is the registration link: http://www.greatwallmarathon.com.cn/application2019.htm At 5PM on Monday February 25,2019,we would send the list of the runners who need us to reserve the Beijing Friendship Hotel to the hotel.
