Elevation Maps of the Great Wall of China Marathon 2016-Autumn(Sept.21,2016) Today,we finally release the elevation maps of the Great Wall of China Marathon 2016-Autumn.This is the first time that we hold the Great Wall of China Marathon(GWCM)twice a year. Unlike the Badaling Ancient Great Wall that we used for the 15th Great Wall of China Marathon on May 1st,2016,and for the Great Wall of China Marathon 2016-Autumn to be held on Sunday October 16,the Great Wall is Juyongguan Great Wall,which is the first time in its history to welcome the world runners to run the full marathon,half marathon,10KM and 5KM. Below are the elevation maps:
5K runners would run 4.6KM on the Great Wall.This total distance has 4,132 stairs.
10K runners would run 8.8KM on the Great Wall.This total distance has 8,264 stairs.
Half marathon runners would run 17.8KM on the Great Wall.This total distance has 16,528 stairs.
Full marathon runners would run 35.6KM on the Great Wall.This total distance has 33,056 stairs. Running on Juyongguan Great Wall,you would not get lost.The highest point is 582 metres(1,909 ft),and the lowest point is 284 metres(931 ft).And the race would start from 7:30AM on October 16,2016,and the time limit is 10 hours for full marathon runners.
