The First American Who will run Great Wall of China Marathon the Second Time (April 8,2011) This afternoon, we are so surprised and so happy to get the message from an American runner, who had run Great Wall of China Marathon on May 1,2009. ------------------ Good Afternoon Mr.Zhu! I hope this email finds you well and that 2011 has been going very good for you. You probably don't remember me, but I was one of your participants in your amazing 2009 Great Wall of China Marathon (a race which I still strongly believe is one of the BEST (and most challenging) in the world that I have run!) (I also did a very sloppy interview with you right after I finished, I was bushed!) I attached a couple pictures of that great day in 2009! :) Anyways I'm writing to you know to see if it is still possible to apply for the GWCM 2011? I've decided I'd very much like to run the great race again and now that I am newly engaged, I would love for my Fiancee to experience the GWCM (10k version)! She's never been to Beijing nor seen the Great Wall and I thought instantly that doing the GWCM 2011 would be the ideal way to do both! I saw your posting after I did the Standard Chartered Hong Kong marathon earlier this year and we had to look at our schedules, but now have confirmed we would be able to get our visas and come to Beijing and the GWCM 2011! If you can let me know if it's still possible, I will fill out the online form immediately for both of us!
